Fall worship hours begin with Rally Day Sunday September 12 with Sunday School at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m. Newsletter assembly begins at 9 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) Auugust 27 in the church library.
8/16/2010 A special meeting will be held Tuesday August 24 at 7 p.m. to discuss the proposed December CookieWalk/Nativity Expo at St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 East Main St., Evans City. St. Johns will be hosting the Church on Ministry Conference Wednesday August 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
8/2/2010 Member Dr. Cheryl Haywood will present the message during Sunday's 9:30 a.m. worship service at St. Johns United Church of Christ, 501 East Main St., Evans City. A special Fall Worship Planning Meeting is scheduled for August 16 at 7 p.m. in the Narthex. P3T plus one member from each committee and service group is requested to be present to help with planning fall worship activities.
6/7/2010 Sunday worship this week will be an Outdoor Worship and Potluck Lunch at St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 East Main St., Evans City. Worship, which begins at 10:30 a.m., will be held at White Oak Barn on old route 68. A Potluck Lunch follows the worship. Folks are asked to bring a lawn chair, a covered dish to share and tabke service. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
Fall worship schedule begins Sunday September 12 with Rally Day activitites. Sunday School begins with a breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. worship service. Sunday School theme this fall is Cross Training For a Life Time of Faith. A lunch in the fellowship hall will follow the conclusion of the 10 a.m. worship on Rally Day. Thursday morning Bible Study resumes at 9 a.m. September 16. The Book of the Prophet Jeremiah will be the subject of discussion.

6/1/2010 Holy Communion will be served at the 9:30 a.m. Blended Worship service Sunday at St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 East Main St., Evans City.
This Sunday service will also feature a Baptism and honor school graduates.Consistory will hold its June meeting at 7 p.m. Monday June 7. St. John's annual picnic will be held Sunday June 13 with a "Back to the Barn" worship and picnic starting at 10:30 a.m. A picnic will follow the conclusion of worship.

A special planning meeting for the summer "Blended Worship" services is set for Monday May 10 at 7 p.m. Spring Cleaning Day is to be Saturday May 15 at 9 a.m. Participants are asked to bring their own buckets and cleaning equipment.

St. John's invites members and friends to visit our booth at the Healthy Kid's Day at YMCA in Cranberry Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Newsletter articles for the May publication are due by the end of the 11 a.m. Worship Service Sunday. Bell Choir rehearsal will follow the end of the 11 a.m. service Sunday.

There will be a potluck luncheon following the 11 a.m. worship service and then the Hanging of The Greens. Members are asked to bring their favorite salad, casserole or dessert to share at the luncheon. Rehearsal for the Christmas Cantata will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

The annual Spaghetti Dinner will be served Saturday from 4-7 p.m. in St. John's Fellowship Hall. Donation is $ 7 adults, $ 5 children, with children 3 and under eating free. Takeouts will be available. Consistory will have its March meeting Monday March 1 at 7 p.m. in the Narthex. Bell choir will rehearse Sunday after the Lenten Luncheon.

This Sunday a Confirmation Orientation will be held at 9:30 a.m. in Classroom 201. It is for all youth in seventh grade and up, their parents and mentors . The annual Rummage Sale runs Thursday through noon Saturday in St. John's downstairs fellowship hall. Rummage Sale hours Friday are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
9/8/2009 Fall worship begins Sunday with Rally Day kickoff at St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 East Main St., Evans City. Rally Day starts with 8:30 a.m. contemporary worship service, followed by breakfast and introduction and installation of Sunday School teachers at 9:30 a.m. A traditional worship service begins at 11 a.m. followed by Rally Day luncheon in the fellowship hall. St. John's is still accepting donations for its annual rummage sale scheduled for Sept. 17-19. Consistory meets Monday at 7 p.m. in the Narthex.
